A Midsummer Night’s Dream Project
In 2020, San Francisco Ballet embarked on a momentous journey to reintroduce Balanchine's A Midsummer Night's Dream ballet after a 34-year hiatus. To create captivating campaign images for the show, I created two enchanting Photoshop composites that highlighted the playful and mischievous elements of Shakespeare's play.

In 2020, San Francisco Ballet planned to reintroduce Balanchine's A Midsummer Night's Dream ballet after a 34-year hiatus and wanted to create captivating campaign images for the show. As a Photoshop Illustrator, I was commissioned to create two Photoshop composites that showcased the enchanting, playful, and mischievous elements of Shakespeare's play while featuring San Francisco Ballet's Principal dancers, Yuan Yuan Tan and Esteban Hernandez.
I worked with photographer Erik Tomasson, SF Ballet's Artistic Director Helgi Tomasson, and the Leadership Team to bring the project to life, collaborated during the photo shoot and multiple milestones, all while dedicated over 120 hours to create the two images.
The magical ballet and unique campaign garnered global attention, however, the ballet was only performed on its opening night due to the shelter-in-place order issued the following day.
