The San Francisco Ballet's 89th Gala, La Grande Fête, was a highly anticipated and prestigious fundraising event. As the lead designer, I was responsibility for the art direction, design, print management, and the oversight of additional designers, budget, and timeline. The Gala was a resounding success, garnering enthusiastic praise from guests and leadership alike, and setting a new record as the company's most successful fundraising event to date.

The San Francisco Ballet's 89th Gala, La Grande Fête, was a high-profile event requiring several teams' combined efforts, including the SF Ballet Auxiliary Committee, SF Ballet’s Special Events team, J. Riccardo Benavides for event decor, with art direction and design provided by myself and the SF Ballet design team.
The color palette and main image were decided by the SF Ballet Auxiliary Committee as well as the theme “Modern Baroque.” I then creating branding that unified the color palette and image selection, while staying true to the brief.
From the logo design to the printed materials, I oversaw every aspect of the design process to ensure that the final product met the high standards set by the SF Ballet and the Auxiliary Committee. I provided regular milestone reports to the Gala Auxiliary Committee, managed print production, and collaborated closely with the additional designers involved.
The 89th Gala, La Grande Fête, was an outstanding triumph. The event design was met with enthusiasm by guests and leadership alike, and was the company’s most successful fundraising gala to date.
